The President of the Republic and Commander of the Armed Forces, Paul Biya yesterday convened an emergency security meeting at the Prime Minister’s office to address the events of October 24, 2020 at the Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy in Kumba, Southwest Region.
In a communique released yesterday evening by the government, it revealed that the Mother Francisca College was attacked in the morning of October 24 at about 11:00 AM by around nine separatist fighters who came in on three motor bikes. The assailants were said to be heavily armed with sophisticated weapons and opened fire on the students, killing six – one boy and five girls.
The decreased students are: Nguemone Princess -11 years old, Che Tehma Nchangwi-11 years old, Jenifer-12, Victory-10 years old, Shenia Sindy- 12 years old, and Rema Zakame 9 years old.
Information from highest authority also indicates that an investigative mission has been sent to the site of the massacre and a secrete mission dispatched to fish out the perpetrators of the gruesome act.
