The lawmaker representing Ebonyi North West Constituency Hon. Victor Aleke was on Friday November 13, suspended by the Ebonyi state house of assembly over an alleged misconduct.
Aleke was suspended after House leader, Victor Chukwu moved a motion of urgent public importance which was seconded by the member representing Ohaukwu North, Chinedu Awoh.
Chukwu also moved a motion for the suspension of the executive chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Mr Clement Odah following the findings of the Ad-hoc Committee set up by the House to investigate the financial activities of Ohaukwu council.
While the suspension of Aleke was upheld, Speaker of the House Francis Nwifuru stepped down the suspension of Odah.
