September 2, 2020,President Paul Biya signed some decrees in which he fixed the number of regional councillors and played down terms and conditions for state payments of cost relating to the participation of members of the electoral college in preparation for the upcoming regional elections.
But opposition leader, Maurice Kamto said few weeks ago that, if the Biya regime ventures to organizes the regional elections, I will call on a campaign for national resistance and the eventual downfall of the head of state, Paul Biya" Kamto said, adding that the population should get ready to take out the dictator
"No one should miss this calling" Kamto urged the population, adding that Cameroon must get out of dictatorship. "If the time is up, then it's up "-Kamto
Therefore, solution to the Anglophone crisis seems overreaching as the regime claps to its aspirations.
