Less than 24 hours after what the population of Anyajua village; Belo subdivision Boyo division in the North West of Cameroon call the military attack in their community, military hierarchy in Bamenda visited Boyo division. General Nka Valere of the 5th military legion and General Ekongwese Divine; commander of the 5th gendarmerie legion called on the population of Boyo to shun fear and stand against activities of separatist fighters in the division.
To general Ekongwese Divine “The boys are causing you pain. Stand against them and the administration is here to help you live a better life. A tiny group of people should not disturb the activities of peace-loving people of Boyo division” Visiting the division Sunday, August 30th 2020, the military hierarchy in the North West remarked that a few misguided boys should not take the people, hostage, for egoistic reasons. Earlier on Saturday, August 29th, inhabitants of Anyajua fled to bushes for safety. To them, the military attacked the village settings ablaze dozen of houses while beating mostly old people they met in the village. The defence generals speaking at the Fundong market failed to issue a statement on accusations of military destructions levied by the population of Anyajua village. From security to health, the defence hierarchy in the North West distributed soaps to the population to help respect COVID 19 in the area.
