The meeting at the Prime minister’s office was chaired by the prime minister and head of government who is also head of the committee, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute The committee which consists of religious leaders, members of the civil society and representatives of the 8 different committees during the five days major national dialogue was meeting for the first time since its creation due to the global pandemic.
Despite difficulties posed by COVID-19 pandemic, members of the committee created by the head of state took stock of what has been done so far with respect to the resolutions of the major national dialogue and what is still to be done The Prime minister used the occasion to call on all Cameroonians to show a sense of patriotism and love for fatherland by joining forces with the government to ensure lasting peace in the two English speaking regions of Cameroon.
Cameroon government organized a major national dialogue from September 30 to October 4th 2020 at the behest of the head of state President Paul Biya to help find lasting solution to the Anglophone crisis.
