Michel Bien Tong, an exiled Journalist was making reference to Paul Biya’s New Year speech in which he mentioned that the culprits of the Kumba school massacre would be brought to book within the shortest possible time.
The Journalist used his Twitter account to inform President Biya that the culprits were indeed close aids of his who are seeking to prolong the crisis so as to continue benefiting from it.
“Mr. President of the Republic, the sponsors of the massacre of 7 students in Kumba on 10/24/2020 are around you, the perpetrators are among our defense forces. Don’t go looking for suspects far,” tweeted exiled journalist Michel Bien Tong.
In the President’s New Year address, he made several emphasis on some of the attrocities that have been committed in the Northwest and Southwest regions, calling these perpetrators “Assasins”.
However, the Kumba Massacre of the 7 schoolchildren at the Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy has divided opinions.
While many government cadres point accusing fingers at separatist fighters, the secessionists themselves have said it is another incident similar to the Ngarbuh massacre which was carried out by government forces in order to sabotage the separatists fighters.
