Reports has it that, fourteen people, among them, retired military men and their spouses on board a local boat, left Nkolmete village to Nject when the canoe capsized around Nkonvondo locality.
Jean Rene Songo, Senior Divisional Officer of Nyong and So’o Division, speaking to Cameroon’s state radio, says two bodies have been retrieved, five people rescued but seven are still missing.
The administrative official remarks that defense and security officers are searching for the seven missing persons.
The sad incident has brought fear in the hearts of cameroonians. Others believe its witchraft emmnated from the water.
